SurveyKiller vs Google Forms
Google Forms is free, unlimited, and — since Gemini arrived — genuinely capable: it drafts surveys and summarises open-text answers by theme and sentiment. We are not going to pretend otherwise. The honest case for paying us starts at the point Forms stops keeping up: its AI summaries work up to 200 responses, and it has nothing for tracking who you invited or helping people answer.
Google Forms figures checked on September 4, 2026 against Google's Gemini-in-Forms documentation, Workspace Updates and Workspace pricing. Prices change — please verify before deciding. Our own figures come from the same source as our pricing page, so they cannot drift.

Where we're better
Every claim here is checkable against the source linked above.
Gemini's summaries stop at 200 responses
Google's own documentation says summaries are generated for forms with between 3 and 200 responses, and that theme generation becomes unavailable above 200. It also is not free: it needs Workspace Business Standard or above, from $14 per user a month. That 200-response ceiling is the point a growing business outgrows Forms — our sentiment classification and topic extraction run across every response you collect, whether that is 50 responses or 50,000.
You know who answered
Google Forms can collect email addresses, but it has no per-recipient invitation link. We give every person on your list a unique single-use link, so you can see exactly who responded, chase who did not, and stop anyone answering twice.
Analysis built for feedback, not spreadsheets
Forms hands you a chart and a Sheets export. We classify sentiment, extract recurring themes, calculate NPS from a pinned 0–10 question, and let you ask questions about your results in plain English.
AI that helps the person answering
Respondents can say or type one short comment and have their answers drafted for review — at your cost, never theirs. Google Forms has no equivalent.
Where we're level
Naming the ties is what makes the rest of this page worth believing.
Both draft a survey from a prompt
Gemini in Google Forms will write you a form from a description, and so will we. This is not a differentiator and we are not going to claim it as one.
Both do sentiment on open text
Gemini groups themes and separates positive from negative comments. So do we. The difference is the 200-response ceiling on theirs, not the capability itself.
When Google Forms is the better choice
Genuine reasons to choose Google Forms instead. If one of these is your situation, take it seriously.
It is free, and free is hard to beat
Unlimited forms, unlimited responses, no card, no trial. If cost is the deciding factor, Google Forms wins and nothing below changes that.
You already have it
If your organisation runs on Google Workspace, Forms is already provisioned, already inside your sharing and permission model, and already approved by whoever approves software. That is worth a great deal.
For simple collection, it is the right tool
An event RSVP, a class quiz, a short internal poll — Forms does these well, in minutes, for nothing. Do not pay us for that. Come back when you need to know who answered, or you have more feedback than you can read.
Try it before you decide
The free plan collects up to 250 responses a month. No credit card, and the people answering your survey never pay for anything.
