Cheaper at every self-serve tier
Their free plan allows 100 submissions a month; ours allows 250 responses a month. Their cheapest paid plan is $39 a month for 1,000 submissions; our Lite is $9 a month for 1,500 responses. At 2,500 a month they charge $49 and we charge $29. Jotform counts submissions where we count responses; both mean one completed reply to one form.
Analysis, not just collection
Jotform is built to collect and route submissions. We classify sentiment on open text, extract themes across responses, track NPS, and let you ask questions about your results in plain English.
AI that helps the person answering
Respondents can say or type one comment and have their answers drafted for them to review and confirm — at your cost, never theirs.

Both generate a draft from a prompt
Jotform's AI form builder and our AI survey generation do the same job. Neither is a reason to switch.
Both handle the basics well
Multiple question types, required fields, mobile-friendly public pages, CSV export. If you only need a form on the internet, either will do it and Jotform has been doing it longer.
When Jotform is the better choice
Genuine reasons to choose Jotform instead. If one of these is your situation, take it seriously.
If your form needs to DO something, use Jotform
Taking payments, collecting e-signatures, routing submissions through an approval chain, HIPAA-eligible plans — these are core Jotform features and we do not have them. That is a different product category, not a gap we are about to close.
Thousands of templates
Jotform has an enormous prebuilt template library. We generate a draft from a sentence instead, which suits some people and not others. If you want to start from a proven, specific form, they have more of them.
More storage and integrations
Their paid tiers include substantial file storage and a large integration catalogue. If you collect uploads at volume, that matters and we do not compete on it.
