SurveyKiller vs SurveyMonkey
SurveyMonkey is the category's default, and its AI analysis is genuinely good — chat with your data, sentiment, themes. We match that. Our invitation tracking and drop-off analytics are a fair match for theirs too. What we don't match is the price: their team plans start at three seats, so the cheapest way in is about $90 a month. Ours is $29 flat for one person.
SurveyMonkey figures checked on September 4, 2026 against surveymonkey.com/pricing. Prices change — please verify before deciding. Our own figures come from the same source as our pricing page, so they cannot drift.

Where we're better
Every claim here is checkable against the source linked above.
No three-seat minimum
SurveyMonkey's team plans are priced per user with a 3-user minimum, so a solo founder or a two-person team pays for three seats to get the AI analysis. SurveyKiller Pro is $29 a month for one person, and SurveyKiller Business includes five seats at $79 a month.
More responses for less
SurveyMonkey's cheapest plan with AI, Team Advantage, works out at about $90 a month — three users at $30 each — and includes 50,000 responses a year shared across the whole team, plus $0.15 for every response beyond that. SurveyKiller Business is $79 a month and includes 15,000 responses a month, roughly 180,000 a year.
AI that helps the person answering, not just you
Turn it on and a respondent can say or type one short comment; we draft their answers from it and they review, edit and confirm before submitting. Nothing is submitted on their behalf, and the respondent never pays — the cost sits with you, not them. SurveyMonkey's AI is aimed at building and analysing surveys.
Where we're level
Naming the ties is what makes the rest of this page worth believing.
AI analysis is a tie, and we should say so
Their Analyze with AI answers plain-English questions about your results with charts and summaries; so does our AI Ask. Both do sentiment and theme extraction on open text. If AI analysis alone is your deciding factor, this is not the comparison that decides it — price is.
AI survey generation is table stakes now
Both of us draft a full survey from a sentence. So does nearly everyone else. It is no longer a reason to pick either product.
When SurveyMonkey is the better choice
Genuine reasons to choose SurveyMonkey instead. If one of these is your situation, take it seriously.
Research rigour and audience panels
SurveyMonkey sells access to buyable respondent panels, a large expert-written question bank, and methodology tooling built for formal research. If you need statistically representative samples from people you do not already have contact with, buy SurveyMonkey.
Twenty-plus years of trust
They are an established public company with the compliance posture, procurement paperwork and integration catalogue that comes with that. If your organisation needs a vendor it can point at in a security review, that is a real advantage and we are the newer product.
Try it before you decide
The free plan collects up to 250 responses a month. No credit card, and the people answering your survey never pay for anything.
